The triangular Shell Chair is one of the classic representative works of the Danish master Hans Wegner: it is usually called the Shell Chair.
The three-legged shell chair is also known as the "Smiling Chair" because of its gracefully curved seat surface, which resembles a warm smile. Its smiling seat presents a unique three-dimensional curved surface effect, as light and smooth as wings, floating and dynamic.
The unconventional measures such as removing the armrests and extending the seat surface provide a broader space for various comfortable sitting postures. The slightly raised ends embrace the person deeply, giving them a great sense of security psychologically.
The classic path of the shell chair was not achieved overnight. In 1963, when it was showcased at the Copenhagen Furniture Fair, although people had a good reputation for it, they only bought it.
