Concept:The Arion series is presented in a clear architectural style: a slender and neat tabletop and four restrained columns form the main framework. Below the tabletop hangs a storage shelf inspired by a saddle. The shelf is formed by a continuous strip structure, with neat stitching and edges, transforming the fine details of the craftsmanship into structural order rather than an ornamental burden.
The original design intention was to translate the three principles of saddle equipment - tension, control and comfort - into the scale of the living room. The tabletop visually remains light, the edge transition is smooth, the armrests are more natural to lean on, and the tray slides smoothly. The columns slightly lean inward, reducing the weight sensation at the edges and releasing the space at the four corners; the shelf unfolds with a controllable curvature between supports, being both stable and composed.
Proportion is the core of this series. The vertical distance between the tabletop and the shelf is calibrated for sitting and placing actions, making it convenient and effortless to place books, retrieve remote controls, etc. The shelf is slightly offset from the tabletop, forming clear shadow layers, avoiding visual stacking. The rounded corners on the surface and the appropriate overhangs facilitate passage and reduce the chance of bumping. Through the combination of rigorous geometry and flexible"saddle-style"storage, Arion offers a contemporary solution for organizing the living room - quiet, efficient, and visually pleasing.
